'Literary Week' the much awaited event organised and hosted by the Literary club members is a grand event.
The event kicked off on 19th July win the intra class stroy writing competition.
On 22nd Jul, the event was the Debate and Elocution competition.
Class X debating topic was 'Marriage is an outdated institution". The best speaker was Natasha Wankadia while Trishita Ghosh bagged up the runner up.
Class IX topic was - "Science is a threat to Humanity" Nida Narvel was declared the best speaker while Shums Siwani was the runner up.
Elocution winners from Std VIII are Souparnika Sheshadrinath, Sakshi Puranik and Vishwa Sankhe bagging the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Their topic was "Vinlent video games must be banned"
Class VII spoke on the topic "Advertising is harmful". The winners are Stuti Mehta, Sholka Shetty and Youvna Salian.
All the speaker spoe with ease and comfort.
SOF - an organization which conducts International Olypiads in English, Science and Maths has cerated quite a buzz among the students of our school.
This year many students took the international test to assess themselves about their standup among the students of the city, country and international level.

A date with IIT
IIT (Powai) tech fest 2013 - 2014, the much awaited event throughout the country, is eagerly looked forward by thestudents of Ashok Academy. Everyyear the students of Std IX and X, participate with enthusiasm ably guided by our science teacher, Mr. Rana. This year the school submitted four projects - Hoveron, Hydranoid Dockyard, Poerless Glides and Eustado (stadium). Each project had a wide range of models. The dockyard and glides comprised of 3 models each whole Hoveron and stadium had one model each.
The overall position ranged from 8th to 16th out of nearby 500 participants. Congrats to the participants and the mentor.

Indo American society organized the K.V. Satyamurty Elocution Competition. Students of Class IX and X participated in the event. The distinguished judges appreciated the students level of eloquency and expressed that the competitors made their job of judging very tough as every participant was a seasoned speaker.

Many students excelled in the IPM Mega final. Some students like Uzair Chhapra- Std IX, Diya Mahbubani - Std VII, Shaz Furniturewala - Std V, Mitansh Patel - Std IV secured All India ranks within 300.

Star Acheivers:- Diya Mahbubani and Preorona Chatterjee of Std VII have qualified to appear for the Duke University Talent Identification Program after clearing the tough round of All India Maths Assessment conducted by the Educational Initiatives. These two students have received 97 and 98 percentaile in Maths . They are tuly our stars, well done! Keep the school flag flying.
Gokul Ashtami populraly known as Dahi Handi in Maharashtra is a festival celebrated with great fervor and zest. Students of Ashok Academy exhibited their traditional and organizational skills by celebrating the same in the shool. They presented a skit and formed human pyramidical structure to break the Dahi Handi. The school was decorated with floral arrangements and an ambience of festival was recreated in the school

HALL OF FAME 2011 - 2012
IIT TECH FEST-To participate in the most coveted and sought after technical fest in IIT POWAI has always been the dream of the young minds of our students. This year our school presented two models -CANYON CROSSand DEVIL DOZERS.
CANYON CROSS-Four bridge prototypes were exhibited and all the models qualified for the final round among 500 entries. One bridge model bagged the 11th position –a rare feat competing among the best technical brains. The prototypes were designed and executed by a group of 16 students under the able guidance of Mr.Rana,our Science teacher. The students included-Anushka Vyas,Anushka D’Souza,Kavya Tayal,Vanya Tayal,Azima Lakhani,Gayatri Sabard,Khushboo Barot,Ramneek Kaur,Rishab Chandok,Urmila Kularia,Simran Prabhani,Aarti Palani,Anisha Tahiliyani,Nishita Gupte,Sakshi Chugh,Rupali Acharya,Asmita Vaswani, Aakash Goplani,Vishal Mohite,Deepak Ramchandani,Gaurav Narwani and Sean Rodrigues.
DEVIL DOZERS-Two robots were designed as per the specifications of the organisers. The robots were programmed to carry specific balls from one location to the other within a stipulated time. Both the robots qualified for the final round. The team was ably guided by Mr.Rana.The members’ were-Hussain Susnerwala, Shoumik Majumdar, Dilveer Pahwa,Param Chandok,Prajwal Atreya and DivitKarmiani.
Dell computers organised an All India Essay writing competition wherein the screening process went through different levels of difficulties ranging from schools in Mumbai to the All-India level. Students from classes VI to X participated in the completion. Nearly 40 students were selected for the Mumbai round. Aman Mehmood made the school proud by reaching the National Level. His presentation on Integrating Technology into Classroom Teaching was well appreciated by the Dell Team.
Institute for Promotion of Maths Pune (IPM) conducts an All-India exam every year. Our students Diya Mahabubani of Std-VI and Danish Bhatkar of Std-VIII reached the mega finals.
